Sipping on gin and juice takes on new meaning with this surprisingly delicious and simple winter warmer made with spiced apple cider and Pimms No 1.
Leftovers of a different sort, wherein I root through the liquor cabinet looking for something new and discover the Pimms (inherited Pimms actually, bought because of it’s visual similarity to Campari) languishing behind the Bourbon.
And a cocktail is born.

And because that is barely a recipe here is a poem that is barely fiction
Half Full The liquid swirls amber, refracts the sun and turns the empty chair beside me upside down, legs tilt toward the sky and shorten with each sip. Whorls of fingertips, pressed and then released, leave their marks on the glass, like the furrows of a fresh-tilled garden spied from the air. disappearing between lips, the wine is cool and round with sweetness, it dives deeper with each swallow, taking on heat as it tumbles to darkness. What remains, the last shimmer, slips down from the rim, shudders as the glass lowers, slowly stills.
